Pours with a large head for the style, off-white over a rosy, dark amber brew. Complex malt aroma that reminds me of a Trappist ale. Alcohol and dark fruits. Fairly light palate follows, delivering a malty smooth brew that has just a tad of bitterness to balance. Good DoppelBock.

Copper-orange body with tiny, light brown bubbles in a moderate head. Malts, candy, citrus, fruits and alcohol fill the nose. Alcohol dominates the flavor before sweet malts kick in. Still, the finish is peppery with alcohol and slightly bitter. Moderate carbonation with smooth and soft palate. The aroma outshines the flavor.

Copper/amber with creamy, thick, white lace - strong aroma of dark fruit, caramel, lots of herbs and spices (almost "Christmas-like") - not overpoweringly sweet and thick like many eisbocks can be; this is actually quite delicate and dangeroursly easy to drink - caramel and toffee lay underneath a thick blanket of warming spices - smooth, doppelbock-ish finish, with a touch of warming alcohol to round it all out - a well-crafted brew.
