Bomber from puzzl (Aug 2007 trade) Guess it is really well aged now! Nose is very oaky woodiness, raisins, and prunes. Hazy dark amber with a very small beige head. Flavor is a lot of prunes and raisins and very woody. Very smooth with no hint of the 100IBUs in the finish of lightly sweet dark fruit. Would have loved to try this fresh!

Thanks to Ross for sharing this rare one! Pours a clear brown with an off-white head. Complex aroma that speaks of dark dried fruits, vanilla with a molasses base. The flavor is complex and follows the aroma nicely. Smooth, full bodied, and and excellent sipper. One of the better ones.

Thanks to TBC2 for this one - cloudy light red pour, with no head to speak of - caramel and brandy aroma, with faint background british hops and hints of oxidation - apparent marris otter in the flavor - the beer has dried out quite a bit, but you can detect how sweet it probably was when it was young - dried cherries and raisins, with touches of sherry - light woodiness, with apparent, but not overpowering alcohol warmth - it seems like this beer has just passed it’s peak, but it will probably hold up for another year or two.

Hazy brown ale with a thin moka head. Light malt and cherries in aroma with orangey notes. Sweet malt and good resinous hops, piney, with wine grapes notes, nuts, and chocolate. Medium to rich bodied. May 2005, Capflu’s BW tasting.

A hazy amber beer with a disappearing beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of prunes and over ripe fruit, and gooseberries, as well as hints of the alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong over ripe fruit notes, as well as wood, and alcohol, leading to a dry spicy end.

Bottled. Dark amber. Grapefruity cookie malt aroma. Rich and warming with soft mouthfeel. The vast hoppiness is hidden and balanced by the richness of the malt. Salty, very bitter finish.
