Hazy straw colour. The aroma is light yeasty and light spice. Fruity-spicy hop character with low bitterness. Light sweet pale malt background. A bit boring, like most of their beers.

(Draught at Tiergarten Quelle, Berlin, 20 July 2010) Golden yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, grass and hints of tropical fruit. Malty taste with notes of bread, grass and hints of tropical fruit. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. No stand out, but highly drinkable and quite ok.

06/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured hazy lighter yellow body with small head. Sourish unpasteurized herbal to lemony hop aroma. Fine, slightly bitter flavor over some fine biscuity honey malt. Body was medium with an inclination to thinner, somewhat oily texture. Herbal hoppy bitterish finish. Fine enough, I liked it.

Draught at the Hackescher Markt location. Poured a hazy pale yellow body, more like a zwickl. Eggy dusty light lemony nose. Earthy taste, beetrooty hoppy bitterness, slightly lemony. And I actually didn’t mind the beetroot here. Nice in a way.

100ml taster at the brew pub under the train arches near Hackescher Markt. Straw coloured, slightly hazy. Film-type layer. Smell of oily hops. Fruity hops and grainy maltiness to the taste buds. Fine bitter conclusion. Fresh on the swallow. Medium to thin bodied (Berlin, 23.11.2009).

Draught on 26th September 2009, at Lemkes Spezialitätenbrauerei. Gold, slightly hazy of body with white foam that quickly dissipates. Hop and yeast aromas present first thing before a rich, satisfying and engaging hoppy burst kicks in. Thereafter a medium-duration hoppy/nutty finish. All this is delivered to the drinker on a lively, well-textured mouthfeel. A delicious way to re-acquint with Berlin’s brewpub beers!
