Bottle shared during RBWG 2015 - on the bus. Pours deep gold with a frothy, white head. Rich and ripe citrus abounds, medium sweetness, some pee, hefty hops. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Resinous and warming in the finish. Hearty sauce.

Bomber from Rabbot, drunk 8/4/16.
Lightly-to-minimally hazy, golden-brass body shows ample carbonation and a large, white head with good retention.
Smells nice and sweaty, with lemon oil, light strawberry, conifer and some dank, grassy-greenery. There’s certainly an element of juiciness here, but it’s by no means a juice bomb (not intended to be, I’m sure). They’ve done justice to the citra hop, which is quite finicky, adding no onion/garlic/wet cat and leaving a crackery malt in the background with very light honey and a touch of booze on the end.
In the mouth it’s fairly soft and round from the dextrinous malts, with a good deal of carbonation propelling the lemony-grassy hops about. Light stone fruits, moderate pine and definitely some hot, pithy resin and alcohol on the end. I think Pipeworks IPAs are great and very clean, except for the surplus of alcohol/resin found in this and even moreso in the Ninja vs. Unicorn I had recently. The Amarillo DIPA still remains my favorite of the ones I’ve tried, being less given to the pine and booze. I’d really like to see this one down around 8%. Don’t really see what benefit pushing 10% abv is doing here.

Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Mild skunk, orange and crystallised fruits on the nose. Palate is smooth but has good fine carbonation. Semi sweet creamy malts. Hop spice. Spicy orange. Orange resin. Marmalade and floralness. Trace of skunk. Smooth finish. Lovely stuff, would love to try one super fresh.

Bottle during RBWG Booze Buse 20/02/15 thanks to whomever supplied this juan. Lightly hazed orange amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is melon, orange, caramel malt, citric pith, hop jus. Taste comprises pineapple, orange pith, light grapefruit, straw, earthy hop. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok DIPA but doesn’t really get out of first gear for me.
