From the February 2013 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a dark brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweetish and tart Pez and mixed fruits. The flavor was sweet cherry, berry and lemon with a light malty presence and touches of tart Pez and chalk. Medium length chalk, lemon, berry and Pez finish. Moderately full bodied. Interesting.

A hazed orange amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, malty vinous notes, fruity esters, treacle, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet vinous malt with British hops, oily mouthfeel, citrus pulp, quite nice. On tap at brewery, Dec. 3 2011.

Bottle bought at the brewery and schlepped back while on vacation with the family. Pours a deep reddish shoe leather color with a small smattering of tiny bubbles that disappear almost instantly. Not a good sign this might be lacking some carbonation. Smell is sweet and malty. Dark dried fruits mixed with toffee and brown sugar and a hint of ethanol. Apricots, prunes, cherries, plums coated in brown sugar. Taste is sweet like I expected. Dark fruits and sugar syrup mixed with a hint of alcohol. The light level of carbonation makes this feel syrupy and probably a bit sweeter than it is. Medium to thick body with a slightly drying finish. I thought this tasted and smelled pretty good, but was a little less than complex. More bubbles and more character malts would have made this a great brew.

My personal #1900 rating. 22oz bottle. Poured a solid clear copper color with a very small white head. Aroma is a bit of grain, with a creamy, smooth. Flavor is rich malts, creamy notes. Alcohol is hidden very well, but I got a bit of burn on the tongue. A very good brew and look forward to checking out their other brews in the future.
