The champagne-like bubbles, distinctive hop bouquet, and balanced character of Liberty Ale revives centuries-old ale brewing traditions that are now more relevant than ever. First introduced in 1975, Liberty Ale is brewed strictly according to traditional craft brewing methods, and uses only natural ingredients — pale malted barley, fresh whole-cone Cascade hops and a special top-fermenting yeast, and water.

Clear golden/light amber pour, small white head but excellent retention. Aroma is like nothing I have experienced before, very hoppy, malt, flora, candy, stone fruits is the best I can describe but doesn't really touch it. Intriguing. Taste is sweet malts, again very hoppy, with the stone fruits, a bit yeasty and flavoursome. Moderate body and a lovely soft carbonation. Excellent.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een licht troebel goudkleurig bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het aroma is hoppig en fruitig. De smaak is bitter, hoppig en fris.

Pours to a slightly hazy straw yellow with a finger thick persistent head. Nice sweet malty nose with caramel or toffee notes, hint of orange peel. Very aley taste in the mouth, yeast forward almost. Lingering hoppy aftertaste, slightly soapy astringent. Ok

Pours amber with a thick and bubbly white head. Aroma of flat malt. Taste has herbal malt notes, light hop bite on the back of the tongue. Palate has resinous herbal element that lingers on the nose.

Bottle from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Grainy citrus aroma. Copper gold. Thick frothy white head. Initial citrus sour edge gives way to herbal bitterness. Some juicy sweetness in the undertow. Light-medium bodied. Slick if thin. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Not too bad. I guess this is an oldschool APA.

Bottle at home from Waitrose, 30th March 19. Pours a clear straw beer. Aroma is citrus, some maltiness. Taste is straight forward, citrus, good balance, not overlly bitter. It's not remarkable, but nice

Not overly impressed. Kinda skunky. After 4 of their beers, I doubt I'll try any more.
