Can from Beer Republic webshop, Breda, Netherlands (I think?) Had this at home in the company of Jude and Baz Saturday 9th December 2023 after a nice snowy hike to the pub. We're listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. We had a great Raclette for tea tonight with plenty of options. Pours shark eye black in color, light cappuccino coloured head. Coffee, syrupy and a little vanilla plus maltiness. In the mouth, once again syrup (maple syrup), cocoa powder, some nuttiness and coffee, there is a bitterness, very good imperial stout.

roasted malts, coffee, tobacco, faint coconut, more tobacco, wood in the aroma. Fantastic aroma. Flavor is roasted malts, tobacco, wood, a syruppy spicy note that is probably maple syrup. The coffee flavor is super intense in this one, almost overpowering the heavy roasted malts. coffee is more like espresso than filter coffee. Most extreme tasting imp stout I have had for a while, and for once not totally cake-sweet but tilted lots more to the traditional heavy roasted malts side (and tons of coffee, some charred wood and the maple syrup added to that). reminds me of several of the greatest imperial stouts.

Can @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma beige media, non molto persistente. Naso splendido, note di caffè magnificamente bilanciate dallo sciroppo d'acero, caramello, cioccolato, nocciola. In bocca è meno esuberante, equilibrata, caffettosa, ammorbidita dallo sciroppo d'acero. Corpo è pieno, leggermente inferiore alle attese, carbonazione media. Ottima, anche se le aspettative erano leggermente più alta.

Cloudy black, thin, dark beige head. Aroma of espresso, coffee bean, burnt pancake, maple syrup, dark fudge, coffee liqueur, pistachio. Taste has sweet fig & plum in a dark-chocolatey malt body with a streak of maple and bitter coffee roast. Earthy hoppy finish, lots of coffee, fondant & sweet, woody maple; dash of warming coffee liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Quite an amazing blend.

Panda 🐼 at home thanks to Wingman. An oily dark brown black coloured pour with a small whispy tan head that fades. Aroma is big earthy coffee bean, char, spicy green pepper, brown sugars, liquorice. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, coffee roast, sticky brown sugars, treacle, liquorice, green pepper. Bit muddled. Palate is medium sticky sweet, oily, mellow carbonation.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingmane, 10/06/22. Black with a good sized khaki head. Nose is coffee bean, molasses, dark malts, charr, chocolate, spice, mellow roast. Taste comprises coffee bean, dark malts, maple syrup, chocolate, spice, charr, dried fruit rinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a spike of alcohol. Solid coffee forward impy.
