Bottle shared in NYC - many thanks to Bruce. Pours black-brown with a creamy, khaki head. The nose has rich toasted toffee, berries, coconut, vanilla, moderate roast. Medium to big sweet flavour with rich, gooey chocolate character, oily vanilla. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Sticky finish, with more gooey chocolate, light cinnamon, mellow roast, burnt graham crackers, ripe berries. Great stuff overall.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan / brown head. Aroma is complex, with bourbon, vanilla and cocoa. Flavour is elegant, with boozy bourbon notes, vanilla, and alcoholic finish. Very well-balanced. Surprising quality from the big guys.

Bottle shared by me at Blippsmas. Brought back by me from Denver. Pours dark brown with brown head. Nose and taste of fudge, milk chocolate, brownie, charred oak, cheap whiskey and vanilla. Medium body. A bit artificial. Not as good as expected given the ratings. The sours by AC Golden were much better.

Bottle thanks to the Dood! Labeled as Ctyat. Pours engine oil black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bitter chocolate with a good amount of must and some boozy whiskey. Flavor has more sweetness from dark grains and chocolate with a musty whiskey note towards the finish. A bit muddled.

Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. Dark brown pour with a bit of amber around the edges and partial rings of lace. Aroma of bourbon and malt. Full and smooth body with flavors of oaky bourbon, vanilla and malt. The finish is moderately boozy with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
