Bottle at home, 23/10/13. Clear golden blond with a thin white covering. Nose is sharp apple skins, potato peel, earthy, sharp fruit notes, damp hedgerow, decaying orchard. Taste comprises apple skins, watery orchard fructis, damp straw, hint of spice but generally lacking in flavour. Light to medium in body, thin and watery, sharp fruit tang in the finish. I thought I’d had my least favourite Partizan beer already this evening, but this one trumps it. It is drinkable, but just lacks any depth of flavour or charecter !

330ml bottle. Clear pale golden colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Herbal aroma, unripe mirabelle, unripe pear, apple wood, hints of a mild cleanser. Taste is minimally tart, dry, unripe pear, somehow like grappa without alcohol. Soft palate, flat carbonation, almost insipid.

Bottle at tap east. Well it’s terrible. I like Partizan a lot the second best brewery in London behind Kernel but this is not very good. Weird to the extreme. I can’t describe it as never tasted anything like it. Not infected just not a good aroma and the flavour is a curryish slightly better. Finish is better. But still it’s either terrible or bizarre

Bottle at home in London. Pours clear, yellow-gold, lightly effervescent with a frothy, pure white foam head. The nose holds doughy pale malts, some citric orange, mild leaves. Light sweet flavor with a bit of astringency, some hay, dough, lemon peel. Light bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Further citric tang and light astringency on the finish, bitter lemon rind, wet dough. This is by far my least favorite of the Grisette series. Something seems amiss here.

330ml bottle from Borough Wines. Hazy gold with an orange / lemon peel aroma. Didn’t get a lot of coriander from this and had a very mild carbonation contributing to a somewhat subdued flavour. Not sure if this was intentional.

Lightly hazy pale gold beer, residual white head. Palate is light and crispy. Apple nose that follows through to the flavour. Just a whisper of coriander-citrus peeping through the sourish apple. I think something has gone wrong here?

Bottle at Partizan. It pours pale yellow with a minimal white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, orange, tangerine, nectarine, dough and a touch of coriander. The taste is clean, crisp, herbal, orange, tangerine, white grape, dough and grain with a dry finish. Light body and average carbonation. Nice crisp, fruity-tart edge to it. As ever - very refreshing and highly drinkable stuff. Thankfully the coriander is not over-done. Yum.
