Hazy light copper coloured body with more of a golden honey glow and a very thick, six to seven centimetre tall off-white head that starts high and fades quite quickly. Aroma of grasses, flowers, light spices, coriander seed, some light anise and a touch of apples and pears along with bunches of yeast and funky qualities - nice. Light to Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy qualities at first with a big dose of grain and herbal notes right behind. Some light sugars from fruit and a touch of spices, such as the coriander seed and a little bit of curacao adds some sweetness and citrus to the mix. Aftertaste is quite dry with some white pepper and tarragon around along with a touch of sweetness from the citrus and even a little from the fruits. Overall, a nice, dry and herbal saison with a big kick from the grass, yeast and white pepper notes - nice and showing a lot of character throughout. Nice to sample, especially fresh! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Whole Foods in New York (Bowery), New York on 23-February-2018 for US$4,99 sampled on the roof of my hotel on 26-February-2018 here in New York.

Bottle to tulip, the appearance was a golden burnt copper color with a thin white foamy little head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slight lace.
The aroma had some toast/white bread, floral, funky, light pear, green apple, white pepper, lemongrass, sweet grass and a little bit of sour underneath.
The flavor was mostly funky with sturdy elements of sour, tart and sweet. Slight herbal quality came in and then the aftertaste was the full on blend of all of the prior mentioned tastes appealing the same in the finish.
The palate was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine.
Overall, second beer by Transmitter that I had and I liked this one.

750 ml bottle from Sparrow, 7/22/16. Pours an unclear golden-orange with a large, fizzy froth of off-white head and some drippy lace. Lots of spice and yeast, pepper, earth, some lemongrass, and a little peach. Nice overall mix of flavors here. Slightly overly carbonated, but otherwise it drinks pretty nicely. Finishes a little dry. Another quality yeast forward beer from Transmitter.

Poured into a shaker showing well filtered yellow with sparse white foam. The nose shows light apples and sweet malts. The palate is well carbonated and fluffy, like a typical saison. Light spiciness throughout and a rather large bitterness from the hops on the finish. Spiciness appears once again on the end. Overall, it doesn’t really work together at all.

Hops Hill, Brooklyn tap: Pours light golden with a white head. Aroma is spice, full fruitiness, and some grain. Taste is lightly spicy, very fruity (not citrusy), a bit sweet, and not that dry. This is very clearly a saison, but it is not the dry kind, rather the sweet kind. The peppery touch is nice. Good, not great. I had this right after the Prairie Brett C, so it was facing some tough competition.

Bottle from Brewery. Pours yellow gold white head. Nose/taste of alcohol soaked pear, saison yeast, lemongrass, peppercorn, pear and stone fruit. Medium body. A touch overcarbonated. Got better as it "breathed."
