Shaker pint draft at the Brewery Tasting Room in Springfield, Missouri. The pour is cloudy brown with a foamy light tan head. The aroma is sweet nut malt along with cocoa and Chile pepper. The taste is the sweet nut malt and cocoa of the nose, nicely integrated with a bit of the chili pepper warmth to the finish. As the beer warms, the cocoa expresses itself as baker’s chocolate. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a clean sweet spice pepper finish. Nicely executed.

Bottle during RBSG. From notes. Coffee, dark chocolate and some slight heat from the peppers. Cool.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malts and not much else. Flavor is about the same, dark malt with none of the peppers showing up just yet. The heat from the peppers doesn’t show itself until your almost finished with the beer. Not a great effort from a brewer that does some really cool things.
