Powerplant was the very first beer we ever brewed in winter before we had full power supply, hence the name. It is a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer.

Bottle @ Torben Mathews tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich fruits, malt, citrus, hops, flowers and has lovely fresh and hoppy finish.

Bottle @ Torben Matthews tasting. Clear golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity, yeasty and spicy. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 181114

On tap @ What’s Brewing, Stavanger. Pours dark yellow, with a small creamy head. Aroma is spicy yeast with wooden bretty notes, as well as peach and wooden barrels. Full body with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart with fruity yeast, brett, horseblanket, as well as notes of grain and honey.

Pours dark orange with a smooth white head. Aroma of spices, wet hops, some earthy notes, caramely malts and citrus. Taste is sweetish, smooth, hoppy and caramely with some spiciness. Finish is smooth and wet hoppy with some floral and spicy notes. Okay, quite hoppy saison. Not very tart or earthy, but still easily recognizable as a saison.
