Normally brewed just once a year, WolfINstein is an amped up stout that is all about more malt, more hops, and more flavor! This beer is velvety smooth and well rounded, with an abundance of chocolate, roast coffee, and malt flavors that are backed up by a seriously hoppy finish.

Etched glass bottle. RBSG. St. Louis. Pours murky brown. off white head. Nose/taste of coffee, roast chocolate, black licorice and burnt chocolate. Medium body. One of the better names for a beer I’ve come across.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours a hazy dark brown with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has musty roasted malts and bitter dark grains. Flavor has bitter dark grains up front with some roaseted malts and dark chocolate.

Espresso nose, some chocolate notes. Deep cola color, thin sticky tan head. Soy sauce, boysenberry. A bit cloying. Kind of a mess.

Had a sample of this beer at the brewpub. Poured a dark black color with an almost wispy tan head. Aroma was some chocolate notes, coffee and plenty of alcohol in here. Roasted malt notes, with some coffee notes. Alcohol is pretty noticeable in this one.

Served on draft at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, cherries, clay and chocolate. The taste is roasted malts, chocolate and bitter hops. Thin-medium bodied, linger bitterness and slight booziness.
