Traditionally craft brewed in Oxfordshire using organically grown English Barley Malt and Organic Target Hops.
Scarecrow is a wonderfully refreshing Golden Ale evoking lazy, hazy days of summer in golden meadows & ripe barleyfields. A winning combination of tart citric fruit flavours perfectly balanced by a rich biscuity maltiness and rounded off with a spicy bittersweet finish.

Pale golden pour. Big frothy quickly dissipating head. Wet grass aroma mixed with paper, and pale malts. Low bitterness, wet paper finish. Mediocre.

Bottle, from historic notes. Source not recorded. Poured hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma of grain, caramel, malt, fruit and grass. Moderate bitterness. Bit watery. Ok.

Granny Smith aroma and flavor. Thin to medium bodied. A slight hopbitterness and some licorice. Just a hint of caramel. Apple and bitter aftertaste. Not too bad.

0,5l bottle from Stonemanor, The British Store near Brussels. F: big, egg-white, good retention. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: malty, grainy, grassy, bit wort. T: sweet malty, grainy, bit grassy, not very pleasant bitterness but it is organic barley and malt in so that’s explains bit strange taste and aroma, more on the sweet side, ok, drinkable, medium body and carbonation.
