750 bottle-white head with yellow/gold color. A-floral/citrus, yeast. T-floral/some citrus hops, bready-lt malt.

Bottle. Pours pinkish red with white head. Nose/taste of hibiscus, grapefruit peel, light resinous pine, cranberry and light malt. Lighter medium body.

750ml bottle pours a clear amber with tons of fizzy white head. Nose has a lot of straw, orange peel, potpourri, dirt. Flavor has a ton of citrus peel, dried citrus peel, cardboard, earthy, dried leaves. Herbal finish. Bleh.

4 oz. sample at the Brewery, as well as a 750 ml bottled on 2-28-14 with ABV of 5.9% Real interesting pink color with a red hue. Lasting head retention. Aroma is extremely floral with hibiscus and dry hopped floral aromas. A boat load of flowers here.

Carbonation gives a bright effervescent mouthfeel. Flavor is all flowers and floral hops. Strong amount of malt in the backbone with some light pine notes. I drank an 11oz. snifter on draft and really like it a lot, leading to a purchase of a bottle. In a bottle it seems the hibiscus gets a bit overwhelming. Still has decent drinkability. I think some more citrus hops would help balance the flowers. If you like hibiscus this is very drinkable at the 5.9%.

On tap at the EBF Saturday Oddly colored floral spicy citrusy hoppy beer. Odd but interesting.

Draft at the brewery taproom - Boston. Pours pink-gold with a creamy, white head. The nose holds light pine, minerals, dried citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with a bit of bread, toasted grass, sticky line, dank citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish with bitter grass, rindy citrus, pine, mild bready malts. Fair.

Soft pink-hued body, has a touch of haziness and a moderate amount of off-white head that eventually recedes to cover.
Trying to make the best out of the nose, but you really can’t get around it. It just smells like old (dead) flowers, bland nutty yeast and dirt. Some notes of citrus (white grapefruit, lime) are in the background but it’s not ideal. I’m guessing hibiscus either leaves a pretty poor aroma in beer, or the reaction of the hops and the hibiscus leaves the unexciting aroma. It’s not unclean or spoiled/bad, as if the ingredients or brewing went awry, just the way the ingredients mix together, I would imagine.
Fortunately the flavor is much, much better. A strong malt backbone is immediately apparent. Nutty, biscuity notes easily balance the moderate citrus hop flavor, with some light peach and nectarine character on the finish that is quite enjoyable. Very dry, almost too much so, but for the soft, supple mouthfeel and tight carbonation. Light herbal notes grace the finish and hop acids linger as well. Fine beer, very-well made. Pity about the aroma.
