Draught @ HBF 2014
Pours dark brown with a small white head. Aroma of caramely malts, some breadiness, spices and ripe fruits. Taste is malty, sweet and syrupy with some cocoa, chocolate and spicy notes. Finish is malty and syrupy with some spicy notes and cocoa. Quite spicy and syrupy dubbel

(Keg at HBF2014) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had biscuits, Chinese restautant and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, biscuits, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and bitter. A weird dubbel. Good drinkabilty but confusing.

Tap @ Hbf14. As Camden04. Brown color, thin white head. Bready, brown sugary, anise, rye in aroma. Flavor is very similar with bread, flour, brown sugar, glueish notes. Unpleasant finish. Spicy and sweet.

Tap at Brewdog, Sheffield. Clear, reddy amber. Thin, off white head. Light chocolate. Dark fruit. Toffee. Taste is light, yeasty, and dry, with an underlying, dark fruitiness. All fairly understated. Nice.

25th February 2014
Brewdog Camden. Light haze on this deep red - amber beer. Small pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with fine minerally carbonation. A smooth and slightly aged tasting malt, the caramel not oxidised but suggesting it. Cherry skins and light touches of chocolate powder and toffee. Mild malt cream. Finishes smooth. Light bubblegum ester. Comes together very well. Brewdog can do subtle beers!

Keg at BD Camden, 24/02/14. Chestnut brown with a moderate beige covering that clears to the edge. Nose is a dark fruit medley, earthy cocoa ring, dark toffee, brown bread, sweet aroma. Taste comprises prunes, dates, classic cake mix, caramelised sugars, candyfloss, pecan nuts, caramel fudge. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light spicy bite in the close. Decent number.

Keg at BD Camden, 28th January. It pours opaque brown with a small light head. The nose is cola, caramel, toast, vanilla, earth, spice and leather. The taste is bitter-sweet, candy, brown sugar, earth, vanilla cola, light toast and some spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet, but it is rather drinkable.
