Inspired by London’s Industrial Revolution when Smog filled the air and the Porter was the beer of the people. An original home brew recipe using 9 different malts including a good chunk of smoked ‘Rauchmaltz’ from Bamberg, Germany. Big flavour hits of molasses, raisins and caramel are cut with the resinous US hop Chinook. Smokey aromas fly, reminiscent of the smoke stacks of industrial London.

Can. Practically black body with a fine beige head. Nice, pleasant aroma of moderate roasted and mild smoked dark malt, hint of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is like expected from aroma and almost extremely silk smooth. Not too much of anything, just very fine balanced flavors. Nice.

From tap at Jopen Proeflokaal Amsterdam. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, mild smoke, a little chocolate. Flavour is light sweet with some roasty bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Nice mildly smoked Porter.

Can 0,33ltr: Dark brown colored brew with an dry bitter taste and an smokey aroma. Hints of dark chocolate and roasted malts. London meets Bamberg, Porter meets Rauchbier but that showed the artwork on the can.

Can. Pours opaque black with a tan cap. Aroma: roasted malts, coffee, hints of molasses. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, dry-ish, smoke, ash, burnt wood up front, then comes the roasted malts & coffee. Medium body with light carbonation.

Blik 33cl thuis. Zacht, vanille, koffie, roasted malttonen, rooksmaak zeer beschaafd, zachte zoeten, prettige bitters, nadronk droog en daar komt rokerigheid weer terug. (25-8-2019).
