After mostly drinking session things time to take the game up. Reddish Amber pour. Nose is cherry, vanilla, caramel. Tastes of the same caramel, some cherry and plum, vanllia, touch of bretty yeast, wood, and pancake batter. Fairly interesting booze bomb.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma has moderate burnt sugar and dark caramel notes. Light toffee, roast and chocolate. A moderate fruit note of cherries and raisin with some plum and prune. A bit of an off vegetable and metal note. A light alcohol spice and light oak. Pours a murky brown with a burnt amber hue and a medium sized, fairly thick, tan head that recedes slowly to the edges where it lingers. Medium light lacing and moderately long legs. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with a lot more chocolate notes than in the aroma. Some dark caramel and toffee with light roast. Medium light toasted bread. Medium light oak notes and alcohol spice. Some medium light fruit notes of raisin and prune. The flavor is missing the off notes of the aroma. Finishes dry than expected based on the upfront sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and slightly creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer but the aroma is off. The flavor is interesting but also muddled and not up to what is expected from these two breweries. Good fruit and malt notes where they arenβt muddled.

Bottle thanks to Kyle! Pours a musty yellowish amber brown with a yellow tan head that dissipates if the edges. Aroma has lots of toffee and oak supported by sweet grains and a hint of bitter chocolate. Flavor combines toffee, chocolate and oak with a caramel note underlying.
