NL/BEL excursion day 6: at their tasting room in Liege, a small one, keg. Aroma: fresh and grassy, rather sour. Appearance: semi-opaque amber, one finger off-white foam. Palate: medium-bodied and sticky on the tongue, average carbonation; finish is long lasting and slightly tart. Taste: lightly sweet with bitter notes, well-balanced. Parma violets, a hit of sherbet; quite good.

Aroma of light fruits, yeast, herbs, perfume, dishwater, floral. Flavour is soapy, with a moderate sweetness. Not a fan.

Bottle 0,375ltr: Hazy blond coloured brew with an sweet smell at the start, spicy and sweet bitter taste and hints of exotic fruits. Also much yeast floating around. Nice idea from Liegé but brewed in Hainaut.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy straw with airy white head. Mild aroma of malt, with hints of spice and fruit, and estery touches. Bitter, hoppy flavour with sweetish, malty, and estery notes and mild touches of fruit. Peppery and estery aftertaste with malty touches. Decent, if mild and undercarbonated.

Bottle, 7%. Very fruity aroma, hint of elderflower and aniseed. Hazy light golden colour. Small white head. The flavour is fruity and chalky. Low carbonation, but pleasant enough. Low to medium bitterness. Chalky and mineraly finish. Subtle and good flowery hop in both the flavour, finish and aftertaste.

Cloudy, golden color and a nice white head. Restrained nose. Taste starts with typical belgian flavors. Belgian yeast, wheaty followed by caramel, honey and some Herbst. Rather long finish.
