Bottle at the brewery. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a bubbly brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma has some sour dark cherry and stone fruit with light barrel and a bit of booze coming through. Flavor as a nice sour stone fruit with some slightly acidic cherry with a bit of whiskey and oak backing.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Hazy copper brown with minimal white head. Woody, earthy, slightly vinous, mild tartness. Decent.

Sept 8, 2017 batch. 8.14% alcohol. Thanks to Cameron for the bottle! Initially, I thought I laid this down too long and the Funk had taken over. As it warmed and opened up, it was more nuanced. Still dark red fruit and massive sour. Cocoa Nubs have dissipated and not existent. Barrel seemed to add some nice balance. Clear brown with minimal head.

Green bottle, 750 ml, savoured on 14 December 2018; eye: dark brown, clear, no effervescence, no head, no lacing; nose: acidity, vinegar, fruity, light wild yeasts; mouth: acidity, vinegar, fruity, light wild yeasts, acidic finale, medium body, medium carbonation, lightly sweet, slick texture; overall: correct

Bouteille verte, 750 ml, savourée le 14 décembre 2018; œil : brun foncé, limpide, pas d'effervescence, pas de mousse, pas de dentelle; nez : acidité, vinaigre, fruité, léger levures sauvages; bouche : acidité, vinaigre, fruité, léger levures sauvages, finale en acidité, corps moyen, carbonatation moyenne, légèrement sucrée, texture coulante; en résumé : bof!

Bottle shared at As Is. Reddish-brown color. Wine barrel dominates here, minimal whiskey, not a ton of grain or malt flavors either. Maybe a little too much wine barrel.

Bottle shared at HomeBrewStuff murky reddish medium brown. No head. Vinous and pitted fruit. Some pie cherry character and an earthy sweetness. Quite ascidic and tart.

Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown ale with no carbonation. Aroma of chocolate malt notes with some dry fruits and sour notes is a weird mix. Taste is a mix chocolate notes with strong sour notes, some light funky ester with some caramelized notes, dry fruit and light residual sugar notes. Body is about average with no carbonation. Seems like the recipe included everything but the kitchen sink and not sure the overall mix is really well balanced.

500 ml bottle. Really just a flat Oud Bruin. Okay, but really not very impressive for extraordinarily high price. Not up to standard... overpriced and over rated.

Earthy and woody with red berry. Deep copper. Wood, earth and savoury notes. Not my thing.
