Thanks Isabel for this beer, nice present for my stay at Barendrecht. Hot weather and I drank this beer at night, after 4 hours delay from Germany. Solid oatmeal stout, nutty, chocolate, roasty, smooth coffee, sweet, bitter, subtle, drank it for days ago, loving the oat to brew the beers in general.

Bottle at home, cellared this one for 8 months. Pours jet black with beige head. Nose is chocolate, cocoa powder, molasses and booze. Taste is moderately sweet with no bitterness, closing with a slightly dry finish. It shows notes of chocolate, booze, molasses, a touch of cocoa again. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, apart from the lightly dry finish it's nice and silky. Tasty, if a bit one dimensional.

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, roast, salmiak, liquorice, dark fruits, oats, touch of cherries, dark chocolate, touch of coffee, hoppy notes. Flavour is medium sweet with some good roasty hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is above medium with a nicely creamy character. Very tasty and a satisfactory choice for my 1000th unique Dutch beer.
