(Draught at Kafé België, Utrecht, 18 Feb 2016) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, chocolate and cacao. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, black coffee, slightly creamy with hints of blueberries and generous roasty bitterness. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Really tasty, slightly velvety and in exceptional balance despite its strength. Excellent beer!

Bottle at 100 piv. Very dark colour, small short lasting head. Overall a sweetish impression with lots of toffee, dried fruits, raisins. Not out of balance though, there is a moderate bitter background. Alcohol slightly poking out in the finish, but nothing dramatic, rather pleasant.

Very dark brown, clear with tiny boubly head. Aroma has roast, coffee and lots of oat meal. Dried fruit and bitter chocolate too. Sweetish flavour with chocolate and sweet coffee. Some light syrupy notes. Lasting, mellow bitterness. Smooth and easily drinkable. Seems simple but is really very nice.
