Gatecrasher gets into the sold-out show without a ticket. It doesn’t have to shout for people to listen. It arrives fashionably late but closes the place down. Our India Pale Ale stands apart from the bitter crowd and entices with bountiful aromatic hops and a touch of malt sweetness, proving there’s more than one way to crash a gate.

Can Day 5 Loz's Beer Republic Advent Calendar, Sunday 8th December 2024 listening to our favourite tracks of 2024 through TIDAL. Pours clear light/mid gold with a mid/large white sticky head. There is a little bit of barley sugar on the nose, nice mouthfeel and a gentle chewiness, a typical English bramble and earthy IPA but very good.

Can. Day 5 of the Beer Republic Advent Calendar. Aroma is bitter - resin and grains. Chewy malts. Clear amber. Thick foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. Chewy citrus and malts. A resinous streak. Underlying caramel. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. A big hoppy West Coast US take on an English IPA.

Single can from Binny's, no date. Seems that being in the Western suburbs, we don't quite get everything from the Northern parts of town. But this one rolled my way, so let's pop it. Pours a crystal, then slightly amber body, with just a bit of haze. The nose has plenty of sharp, fresh and grassy hops. Hops pop out on the first sip, again sharply bitter, with some grass to it, and then a note of citrus. Kids of rides the edge between an English IPA and an APA, but I'm dropping this on the English side.

Solid ipa. Seems more east coast than english to me. A bit dank hopiness, a bit hazy. But clean and not overbittered. Sk adventkal
