5/2/2017. Cask at the Great Northern Hotel, Peterborough. Pours copper to chestnut brown with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dark fruit. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, touch sour. Medium body, some stickiness to texture, soft carbonation. Finish is fruity, slightly dry. Also 18/7/2025. Cask at The Exeter Arms, Barrowden. See photo. Enjoyed it more. Upped from the 6.5 original rating.

Cask. Clear amber with smooth off white head and great lacing. A toasty and caramel malt aroma. Flavour is quite earthy with hedge row, red fruits, toasted malt, some herbal edge. A bit of an acquired taste.

500ml bottle from the brewery. Pours red/ brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of red fruits, caramel, toffee & malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish. Well made & very enjoyable

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. Rutland ticks! A mid amber coloured pour with speckled beige head. Aroma is semi sweet, nutty toasted malts dried fruits, apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, layered malts, toasted malts, light liquorice, light tangy green apple, raisin loaf,. Firm harsh grassy bitterness lingers.. Palate is semi sweet rounded, good body,

Cask, third pint. @Grainstore Brewery, Oakham (UK). 15/02/2023 [#5.812 Global - #598 England - #1 Grainstore Brewery (My English brewery #180 and a new english county)] Pours amber with a perfect and lacing white head. Aroma: caramel, soft toffee and dried fruits. Taste: light chestnut and caramel malts. Smooth grainy mouthfeel. Next one please!

Cask at Peterborough Beer Festival 2022. Pours clear amber chestnut with a white cap. Aroma: fruity, malty. Taste: malt, caramel, dried fruit hints. Light to medium body with soft carbonation.
