Panty we want to be a rich stout that is still an easy drinker. Roasted, caramelized and some rye malts enhance the body of this beer. Together with Cascade hops the flavours of Panty are mostly roasty, chocolately and licorice-like.

3/6/2023. Bottle shared at SBGP3. Courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear dark maroon brown with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of toffee, roasted malt, dark fruits, biscuit, cocoa powder. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slightly creamy, average to soft carbonation.

On tap at Oedipus, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a nice roasted malt base, with gentle caramel and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is dry and roasty, with a very nice, clean roasted malt base, a hint of caramel and a nice bitterness on the finish. Sturdy and roasted for a simple stout. Good stuff.

Liebliches, eher süssliches Stout. Gute Röstaromen, aber gemässigt. Wenig Bitterkeit.

Drank at the brewery in Amsterdam. Bu far their worst beer. It’s not even a stout, dark amber color, a bit astringent, not much roast.

Bottle. What I would maybe call a hoppy stout - too roasty to be a BIPA, but too hoppy to be a regular stout. Pours black with a medium white head. Aroma is roasty, dark malts, lots of hops, some herbal notes, pine. Medium body. Flavour is malty, spice and grain notes from the rye. Hint of caramel. Really roasty, lots of dark malts, medium bitterness. Really intense hops, with lots of dark fruit, pine and herbal notes. Very hop forward. Reminds me of the black betty. Hints of coffee and chocolate. Finishes roasty and bittersweet. Really nice.

Bottle from Beer 52. Aroma is mainly roast malts with hints of chocolate. Pours a rich burgundy red with minimal beige head. In the mouth, not much to decipher at first – just the creamy fuzzy texture. Then that’s fades and you can discern chocolate, coffee and raspberries with traces of liquorice. Finish is fruity rather than bitter. It’s OK but seems to lack that vital spark.

330ml bottle consumed 4 months after bottling. Black pour with small white head, minimal retention. Aroma of semi-sweet malts, roastiness, chocolate, coffee. Taste also includes dark fruit notes and a tangy bitter finish. Nice smooth body and soft carbonation. Excellent stout.

Frothy off white head stayed on brown still body - quite light in colour for a stout. Coffee & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a sharp back & clean aft. Coffee, sweet berries, jam, malt, roasted & cigarette tastes with hoppy, bitter tangy finish. Good one.
