0.33 l bottle from 'CraftBeer-Dealer.com'. Slightly hazy, dark brownish amber with a massive, dense, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly grassy and - what a surprise - a little sourish-funky aroma of caramel, red fruits and hints of silage. Moderately sweet, malty and a little roasty taste of caramel, nuts and a touch of raisins, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly slightly grassy-dry and a bit roasty finish with traces of an infection. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Typical Braustelle beer, don't know how old this bottle is but a slight infection is detectable already. Other than that it's a decent Alt.

Hazy brown with little beige head. Aroma is dark fruits, chocolate, nuts, a little coffee and some lycheee. Taste is a very two dimensional experience of deep bitter nutty malts (however not very bitter) and carbonation induced sourness. Little bubbled mouthfeel as it should be. The finish is slightly watery chocolate bitterness. Not bad.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2016. It pours hazy mahogany brown with a decent off-white head. The aroma is soft, bitter - sweet, juicy, dried fruits, candy, toast, fruit cake, banana and light spice. The taste is crisp, bitter, pine, resin, dried fruits, wood, pine, resin, leather, dried fruits, juniper and earth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent Alt.

(Bottle) Brownish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, roasted nose with toast, dried fruit, crisp-bread, a touch of chocolate and a distant hint of sweet gale. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dried fruit, crisp-bread, some orange, chocolate, toast and a balanced, slightly metallic bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor for $5. Pours a dark reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. The aroma obviously shows age - there’s some cardboard, caramel, dust, yeast and bread. Medium/thin body. A touch of smoke. Kind of burnt flavor. Caramel, burnt wood / ash, a little doughy flavor. Not in great shape now but shows some promise.

Brown color with reddish highlight and small tan head. Aroma of malt, but not the sweet irritating malzbier smell. Dry bitter chocolate. Taste is cocoa powder, malts, but not sweet. Medium body, bitter. Wow, I like this very much.
