Bottle, 75cl corked, at Plan B, Copenhagen. Thx to MiP. An orange, unclear beer with a minimal white head. Funky nose with horseblanket and citrus. Citrus, mostly lemon, dominates the flavor, tart and funky, medium mouthfeel, very astringent. Very long lemony finish. A gorgeous beer, intensely sour and citric, a real palate cleanser. RAting: 8-4-8-4-17-4.1. (080913)

Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. (1999 vintage, thx Jacob.) Hazy, orange beer with some white bubbles around the rim. Sourness, yeast, cellar, apples, grass and citrus in the aroma. The flavor is wonderful, intensely sour, with citrus, apples, grass and lemon. Really palate-cleansing. Vauw! It kicks you in your mouth and throat. Amazing! Almost too much. (060826)

Bottled (Thanks Jacob, 1999 vintage, rating #1800). Hazy pale nutbrown colour, minor head. Sour apricotty aroma, with some earthy hints. Flavour is sour fruity, almost like a white wine. Extremely dry lambic, but still refreshingly full of fruits and sourness. Just lovely. Good way of celebrating 1800 ratings.

Bottled@RBESG’06. Vintage 1999. Orange color, no head. Sour, slightly earthy, trefoil and hints of hay and barnyard. Sour, fruity, very wineous taste. Acidic fruity flavors make this very enjoyable. Long fruity-sour aftertaste. Masterpiece - thanks Jacob!

(750ml bottle, vinitage 1999, shared by pivnizub – many thanks !) I had the vintage of 1990 once before, which was my first Gueuze ever and called my attention to the style. Hazy and slightly murky orange colour with a short off-white layer. Fine sourish, musty and woody aroma with citrus and subtle notes of peach. Sour flavour, slightly lactic; woody and fruity taste; very well-balanced fruitiness and sourness; almost astringent dry and tart lingering finish. If I only could by that stuff right around the corner, with 10 €uro per bottle, it has a phantastic price – enjoyment ratio.

Bottle (vintage 1999, purchased at Streekprodukten, Halle, 06/06): Orange to amber coloured, small foamy layer; strong sourish fruity nose (citrousy, cidery) with a bigger touch of horseblanket and barrique; strong sourish (woody), dry flavour; finishes dry, sour, citrousy with a tart tinge of brettanomyces.... The dry acidity knocks You really down.......

Bottle, vintage 1992 - marking the second millenium with a treasure from the Pattyn dungeons - Joris my debt in beer to you has grown into the infinite by now.
Pours a orange amber colour, initially heavily sparkling but quickly setting into a light champagne fizzle. A whiff reveals a hint of horseblanket, candied orangepeel, mirabelle plums and cherrywood. A truly elegant acidity, just right to keep the tongue feeling dry but not blocking the fine lime, mirabelle, lemongrass and light wooden/leathery notes. Sparkly dryness closes everything up leaving you with lime and grape aftertaste that commands you to take another sip. Wow!

(Bottle 75 cl) Vintage 1993. Golden and very unclear - almost impure. Extreme sediment inside. Very vinegary but without the subtle and sophisticated flavours found in the best, traditional gueuzes. 150602

Bottled. Cloudy orange. Aroma of barnyard and lemon juice. Very acidic with clean, rounded mouthfeel. There’s sweet malt beneath the powerful acidity. Very flavourful, but not as complex and lively in mouthfeel as the best gueuzes I’ve had.

Muddy blond color, poor head. Excellent Lambic. Should I say more? There is some apple fruitness in the taste; astringent. One straight, pure, lovely Lambic.
