Had this on tap at Back Road Brewing in Milford. Big & black, appears large and in charge. Mild coffee nose. Bitter up front with no coffee at first but then the java starts to come thru in the middle. Quite coarse and rude in the end. Thanks at least for the alky content.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a small creamy tan head that left good lacing. The aroma was vanilla, coffee, cocoa and wood. The flavor was smokey and bitter with chocolate, vanilla, coffee and wood. Long finish. Full bodied and smooth.

12 ounce bottle. Opaque black pour. Small creamy tan head. Roasted malt nose hints at strong black coffee. Roasted malt flavor. Lot' s of coffee flavor as expected. Thick and creamy mouthfeel. Burnt sugar sweetness in finish. Espresso aftertaste.

From somewhere: pours black with a brown head. Aroma is coffee and chocolate and roasty malts. Taste is roasty and a bit bitter. Lots of coffee. Pretty easy to drink. Not sweet. Pretty good.

22 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/24/15. Brown color with a creamy tan/brown head and strong lacing. Fairly sweet coffee milk stout in both aroma and flavor. Gets a little more bitter through the mid-palate and into the close. Smooth and clean enough. On first pass it seemed like a sweeter example of the style, but once the bitterness shows up it is quite balanced. Seems like a beer for the cold brew coffee crowd to me, which is a crowd that just seems to keep growing.
