Bottle @ Dangerous Bottleshares #litaffam-edition thanks to bursprak. Pours thick deep purple with a small pink head. Aromas of blackberry jam, tannins, lactic tartness, citrus, lemon zest, de garde funk, tannins. Taste is huge blackberry jam, tannins, de garde funk, cheese, citrus, lactic tartness.

Bottle thanks to Ed. Pours a cloudy purple with medium pinkish white head that lasts. The aroma is strong boysenberry, oak, lemon, lacto. Medium body, jammy berry, oak, lacto, light acidty, nice sourness, really enjoyed this.

Bottle shared by Tom, Thanks! Pours a murky earthy red with a deep pink head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of berries and earthy wheat with an acid bite underlying. Flavor has a strong sour berry note with some acid and a wheat backbone.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly berry forward with some light yogurt and lemon notes. Some light wheat character. Mostly an unripe blackberry character, but also some boysenberry skins. Some medium light leafy notes. There is a very green character. Pours a hazy, reddish purple with a large, moderately thick and pillowy, pinkish head that recedes to a thin film that lingers for a long time. No lacing or legs. Flavor is fairly acidic with a light sweetness. Light to moderate, phenolic, leafy character with moderate tannins from the berry skins. Quite a bit of boysenberry flavor with a bit lighter blackberry note. Light lemon and yogurt notes with a hint of wheat. Lingering berry and acid notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very berry forward berliner, but I think it?s too acidic and the berry notes could be better. I think I prefer the regular Bu series to the imperial one. It?s kind of weird because the aroma has a really green berry note, but the flavor is very strongly boysenberry.

So much De Garde! Couldn’t be happier. Lovely cranberry-to-plum colored body shows a fair amount of haziness and a medium-sized, violet-flecked, off-white head that shows moderate retention.
Berries, soft oak and light brett acids all rise up powerfully out of the glass. Another massive, well-done fruit nose from the seemingly masters of the game. It’s neither jammy, syrupy, overbearing nor too intense (somehow it’s infinitely sniffable and still enjoyable, despite being so full) and there’s room left (lightly) for some wheat and light wood behind it.
Strong berry flavors assemble with wood tannins, soft wheat and light vanilla flavors leading to a fairly acidic finish with tons of wonderfully attenuated, dry, luscious berry notes. It’s amazing how well the fruit flavor is preserved given how highly attenuated these beers are. Salinity, wood tannin and some bacterial acids all join in on the finish to deepen complexity. Tightly carbonated and with no alcohol or flaw.

Bottle with thanks to Matt! Pours hazy magenta, medium pink purple head, dissipates fairly quickly, some lacing. Aroma is loads of Berry, raspberry,, blackberry. Flavor is light plus tart, fruity,, hints of funk. Medium body. Less acidic than most de garde bus, pleasant for sure.

On tap at De garde anniversary party. Pours out a purple ruby color with a pink ring of a head. Nose is big tart berries some jammy notes but mostly tartness. Taste is more of the nice berries mix black berry maybe some blueberries acidic pucker.
