16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a pitch black color with a tiny beige head and poor retention. A few spots of lacing. Roasted malt and chocolate malt aroma. The flavor is dark roasted malts with limited chocolate notes and a short finish with some light booze. Very clean and smooth for an imperial stout. The 9.0% ABV is mostly hidden. No coffee notes. Hints of molasses as it warms. Medium body. Low carbonation. Low bitterness too.
