Tonight you raise the anchor, take to the seas and charter territories undiscovered by man or beast.

Destroy it all in your wake – the day job, the grind of normality, people’s cardboard cut-out expectations.

Make a beeline for those shimmering, swirling outstretched arms of the unknown and don’t look back.
You are San Salvador.
Navigating the putrid, snapping jaws of life’s great sea monsters on the way to discover your San Diego.

Skim across crests of white to the tune of your own sea shanty before land is finally in sight.

Then you capture and you conquer.

Take this world as your hostage because tonight, there's nothing they can fucking do about it.

Flaske 330ml. Delt med Rune i WC-veien 25 Apr 16. Ultramørk amber. Middels høyt lysebrunt skum som daler sakte. Lett & god lakrisaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken har preg av rom & frukt. Lett søt. Alkoholen merkes ikke.

330ml bottle, 11.9 % abv, bought quite a while ago at BrewDog Shoreditch and shared back home with Finn. One finger thick fawn-coloured head leaving crocheted lacing down the glass. Opaque dark brown-red body. Aroma of dried fruits and oak. Rum-like taste including dried fruits, dark bread, oak, earth and dark berries. Warming, long-lived dark malt-fruity ending. Fine bodied. Decent sipper qualities (Tromsø 25.04.2016).

Bottle shared at Daniels place. 20/02/2016. Huge thanks to Daniel for this one. Clear reddy ruby brown coloured pour with a small off white head. Aroma is nice rich short bread, butterscotch, cakey malts, Toffee apple. Nutty. Flavour is composed of tart tangy fruit cake, toffee apple. Palate is frothy and sweet and airy carbonation . Good stuff. Little woody tannin. Aged very well.

(Bottle. 11.9%) Dark ruby colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with oak wood, raisins, caramel, treacle, black rye bread, liquorice, some chocolate and hints of rum or whisky. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, oak wood, raisins, dates, treacle, soy sauce, black rye bread, some chocolate and a vinous, quite bitter, finish with warming hints of rum and whisky. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Possibly not in perfect balance, but really tasty with generous amounts of rum and oak wood. Very nice.
