Bottle at a Ratebeer "sticky floor" tasting, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy dark brown colour with a thick tan head and broken lace. The aroma is rich and malty. The flavour is bitter spicy malty and with a lingering malty palate. A very decent beer.

75 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu, bottled 25.02.2012, BBE 25.02.2014
Aroma is sweet and stale with some brown sugar, licorice and hints of sourness. Flavour is sweetish with licorice, some brown sugar, dark fruits and hints of nuts. Coffee starts to add up towards the end of the glass. Your typical (dark) Belgian strong.

Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, 12th November 2011 consumed at home 25th November 2011. Pours puddle brown, little powdery, even a tad gritty. Fruity, spicy with a light sourness and good tanginess. Malty its not bad. I think that I had this at Hasselt but forgot to rate it. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov13 3.1

Head gone in secs, over fully opaque, even muddy brown beer with a mossy sheen. Spicy, woody, liquorice but especially dark malts/melanoidins - even a bit of coffee. Seems complex, but I’m wondering. Coffee, and... red chili pepper! Tastes like some chilli pepper enriched sauce or stock - including vegetable oil slickness. The ingredients’ list, however, doesn’t give a hint about any herbs, spices.... Peppery, slighlty burning MF, well-carbonated and seriously grist-slick. Complex, very interesting, but I do not think I’d drink it often, or even have a full 75 cl bottle...
