Orange copper color with pumpkin spice aroma. Taste is a good balance of malt sweetness and pumpkin pie spices. Not overly spiced but enough to notice. Dry finish, a little pumpkin or vegetable aftertaste.

(Can) Brownish red colour, slightly hazy, with frothy beige head. Spicy, malty nose with notes of dried fruit, pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, vanilla and orange peel. Spicy, malty taste with dried fruit, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, caramel, nutmeg, vanilla, white peppercorns, orange peel and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite sweet. I'm usually not overly impressed by pumpkin beers, but this is really rich, complex and tasty. Very nice.

Decided to drink the only proper pumpkin beer I got my hands on tonight as I’m carving my jack-o-lantern. I got this from a friend who visited the States. Cigar City Good Gourd Imperial Pumpkin Ale Great sweet cinnamon and allspice malty aroma on a ruddy reddish brown brew with a mocha beige dense creamy foam which unfortunately doesn’t linger. Wonderfully smooth medium body and a well balanced pumpkin pie flavor. The spice is strong but deftly hugs the limit before being overpowering. Really great stuff. If I was local to their distribution this is the kind of thing I’d grab a six pack of to share/enjoy over the season.

From a can, this stuff pours a cloudy light brown iced tea colored eye. Thin tan head. An odd volatile mild nose that you can barely detect, smell is rather neutral. First swig is a mouth full of boozy spices, tons of spices, all kinds of spices! The nose yields no clue of the flavor onslaught within! So unbalanced; it says there is pumpkin in here someplace but where? All those spices are way over the top and down the sides. Its punching its way around my mouth seeking a pathway to the gullet; I can barely handle this. I'd say somebody accidently dropped a case of spices in there by mistake and said WTF? We aint gonnah toss this shit for that mistake, heheheh. It actually comes across more like an end of the year spiced christmas holiday brew than a pumpkin brew. Whew, mouthcoating unwanted spicy shit. Nasty negative nellie. Tik yes. Buy? Never again.

Dark copper colour with thin head. Aroma of spiced cake, medicinal clove and scented candle. Taste is similar. Sweet, cakey. Not nice. Good texture though, nice and oily.

35cl Blik van Beer Republic Advent. Helder koper-amber kleur, vuilwitte kraag. Kruidig, kaneel, nootmuskaat, kruidnagel, licht moutig, wat zoete pompoen, medium zoet, nog behoorlijk bitter. Lichter dan ABV doet vermoeden, maar zeker een smakelijk bier. Medium body.

355 ml can. Cloudy chocolate brown with a foamy head. Intense cinnamon, clove, pumpkin pie, nutmeg, redbull cola, caramel, brown sugar, dry citrus. Dry bitterness, malty boozy sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry spicy bittersweet boozy finish. Very nice!
