This high-gravity gob of gourd-y goodness incorporates pumpkin in the mashing process and then gets wicked with the spices including Ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/5/2018. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/copper/light reddish color, with a 1 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, gingerbread, pie crust, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of roast, vanilla, golden raisin, and herbal/yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, gingerbread, pie crust, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of roast, vanilla, golden raisin, and herbal/yeast/toasted earthiness. Mild herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, gingerbread, pie crust, toasted biscuit, light roast/vanilla/raisin, and herbal/yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.8%. Overall this is an amazing imperial pumpkin ale! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of pumpkin, spices, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy finish. This is definitely one of the top in the style I've had as far as authentic pumpkin fruit presence. Perfectly balanced pumpkin, spices, and rich malts. Not overwhelming on any aspect. A highly enjoyable offering, and top tier style example as expected. Very similar to what I have had from Elysian.

Cinnamon, pumpkin, sweetness. Well balanced, not toooooo sweet (that artificial sweetness that kills other pumpkin beers) tastes fresh and delish.

22 ounce bottle. 2017 vintage; 8.8 % ABV. Orange copper color. Small creamy beige head. Toasted malt nose has buttery, spicy notes. Rich, toasted malt flavor has notes of caramel and assorted spices. Cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves are all there. Rich molasses-like notes. Warming alcohol and chewy, sticky malt in finish. Quite tasty.
