This high-gravity gob of gourd-y goodness incorporates pumpkin in the mashing process and then gets wicked with the spices including Ceylon cinnamon, Jamaican all spice, Zanzibar cloves and nutmeg.

Bottle share at a buddy’s house last night.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute leaving some slight lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell had a really maple-ly sweet maltiness running over top of some bready and spiced pumpkin notes. Light vanilla slightly runs in and out.
The taste was mainly sweet through the maple and allowing a gentle pumpkin pie - esque vanilla to come through.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation hit my tongue nicely - good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good pumpkin ale with a nice dose of maple added. I’d bang it again.

Full disclosure, if you had told me Cigar City was making a pumpkin beer, I would have been my house that it would be a train wreck. If I had done that, I would be homeless. 750ml bottle pours a clear copper amber with some white head. Nose of chai tea, vanilla, a little cardamom, nutmeg. Flavor is very sweet, roasted sweet potato with marshmellow, vanilla, chai. Finishes sweet with some spice. Really good.

Bottle, split with two of my best friends. This beer’s #300 rating. Poured a nice, smooth amber color with a medium sized slightly off-white head. Aroma was notes of light pumpkin pie, vanilla. Spices are there, but they are not overpowering. This has a much more natural note of pumpkin itself, as opposed to a overly spiced beer. Flavor was divine. This was like eating a fresh slice of pumpkin pie. Well balanced spices bring out the wonderful flavor of pumpkin itself. Very smooth, and the alcohol is pretty well hidden in this one. Highly drinkable, and perhaps my favorite (out of market) pumpkin beer to date.

Bottle from MeadMe, thanks again! Sweet caramel and brown sugar malty with a healthy does of pie spices. Its not the worst pumpkin beer I’ve ever had and it actually grew on me quite a bit.

Cloudy brown with a short, off-white head. Aroma is clove, cinnamon, pumpkin, bread, Very sweet and natural pumpkin and crust flavour. Light, despite the rich essence....chilled pumpkin pie with cool-whip topping... Not very beery....but damn tasty....one of the finest Pumpkin Ales I’ve ever tasted.
