Can outta the Brew Export Advent Calendar. Aroma has an initial sourness, followed by coffee, nuts snd cacao. Sweet edge. Slightly opaque gold. Thick foamy white head. Flavourwise it's got a central core that's bitter - mocha. However this is surrounded by tangy berries over sweet caramel and a nuttiness and malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on oily. Soft-flat carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Typically for the style it's all rather sugary, if carmalized rather than saccharine. I guess I like it.

Appearance is amber, with a foamy 2-finger beige head. Aroma is hops, coffee and chocolate, toasty malt, caramel, toffee hints. Taste is caramel and chocolate, toffee, vanilla, nutty malt, fruitcake, hazelnut coffee, sweet malt and toffee. Works quite well.

Can thanks to cgarvieuk. Pours clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of coffee and vanilla. Taste is more of the same. More like a coffee pale than a stout.

Appearance - golden and mainly clear. Thin white head.
Nose - coffee and light vanilla, some syrup and sponge cake.
Taste - coffee mainly with some honeycomb.
Palate - medium bodied and sweet, then some roast on the finish.
Overall - something like a coffee IPA but heading towards a barley wine or strong ale.

Draft - Light coffee bean. Clear gold with a small head. Sweet coffee and some vanilla with a long finish. Heat on the throat.

Sample at the brewpub as part of Ohio Brew Week. The beer is a clear reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of malt, vanilla and roasted coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of roast malt, sweet vanilla, coffee and chocolate. The finish is sweet with a vanilla mocha aftertaste. Good beer all around.
