Draught from the Jeffrey. Poured reddish obviously with a white pink head. Lots of rapberry’s actually but not too sickly sweet. Well done from founders.

Hmmm..........well from the looks of the ratings, i’m gonna say htis one is overated. A sweet/sour funky raspberry aroma, not unpleasant, but not great. The flavour is sour, and slightly funky, and it’s leaving a DMS kinda buttery flavour in my mouth. Nah not my bag.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is heavily red fruits with lots of tart and sweet raspberries. Sweet and tart flavour, bit sugary. Body is medium. I like this a little less sweet and more tart but the basic flavours are there. Kinda nice for a sugary raspberry beer.

Tastes like sherbert. Or a raspberry fizzy lemonade.

Notes from June 2010 Last bottle folks. Stored in the fridge since I heard the news. Poured into my usual Ommegang anniversary glass. Half sea foam, half strawberry puree. It settles a touch, but is still quite cloudy. Smell is still big on raspberries. Not as bright as before, but still very juicy & somewhat sharp. Enough fruit to negate almost anything else except the acid shriveling my tongue. Tart raspberries & just a little soft strawberry-ish sweetness. Wafer-ish malt & slight oxidation. Jammy, but not enough to alter the texture. Cherry pit bitterness in the finish. Still very good. Feel was a touch hairy, & the carbonation was big. A sour bite has arrived, but that is sort of welcomed. Alcohol is muted by the acidic nature of the beer. Cerise? What is this crap?!

Pours some kind of red/ruby, slightly translucent through light. A low to medium sized head, the slightest off-white, quite compact. Shows good enough retention and hints of lacing. Low to average intensity in the aroma: a soft dough-like base, white bread, not too bright candy-like raspberry notes, light hints of strawberry and lemonish tartness. Taste notes follow the aroma closely, again with modest intensity. Medium sweet (maybe not as much as you would think) with the slightest hint of sourness showing up in the finish. No detectable bitterness, but still feels balanced enough (not that much sweetness as mentioned, clean profile). Medium or slightly below medium bodied, low to medium fine-bubbled carbonation, the slightest hint of creaminess. Ok but quite unremarkable.
