2 8.5 ounce cans into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky light pink head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lightly tart/sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, red/green apple, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of hay, straw, funk, vanilla, oak, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/light funky yeast, fruit, dark/bready malt, and light oak notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart/sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, red/green apple, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of hay, straw, funk, vanilla, oak, red wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, plum, red grape, red/green apple, caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, fruit, dark/bready malt, and light oak flavors; with a nice malt/tartness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Lightly increasing tart/tangy dryness. Medium-high carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly acidic, and slightly slick/syrupy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is an incredible fruited Flanders red ale! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, fruit, dark/bready malt, and light oak flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mildly tart/tangy finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV. Insanely jammy on fruit with balanced sweet malts; and decent amounts of sour/wild ale complexity and oak presence. Absolutely spot on for the style, you can taste the Rodenbach under all the cherries/berries. A highly enjoyable offering.

Little slim can shared at DCLawyer’s sour tasting. As Fruitage. Clear dark red with off-white head. Aromas of fruit punch, strawberry, cherries. Tastes of fruit punch and berries. Light body with a dry finish. Tasty enough but not very beer like.

8.5oz can. Looks like something you might drink on the streets of Belgium I suppose. Deep red body, thin steady beige head. I really love the Rodenbach flavor profile, and even though this is a little sweet, it is still better than a lot examples out there. Rather delicious.

Kicsi, gyorsan elillanó hab, vörös szín. Meggyes illat. Erősen szénsavas, könnyed, kissé savanykás meggyes-málnás ízvilág, enyhe vadélesztős aromákkal a háttérben. Ha nagyon figyelek még az áfonyát is kiérezni. Kissé visszafogott, frissítő, szinte egyáltalán nem keserű, kellemes nyári üdítő.

Bouteille 25cl. BB 17/5/2017. Acajou, col crémeux rosé léger. Arôme au bouquet fruité, retrouve le côté dilué de vieille brune mais le tout couvert par le fruité, ou plus certainement des jus concentrés. Malt léger en retrait. Palais est finement acidulé, touche de cerise, se termine sur un caractère trop doux et sucré. Seul une fine contrebalance rappelant le fruit rouge - framboise arrive à ajouter une note plus aigrelette. Ou quand Rodenbach veut faire du grand public.

Smells of powdered sugar, red fruit skins, slight hints of actual black cherry and strong medicinal notes. Very little of interest here.
Sweet, fizzy, artificial and thin with some very slight actual fruit notes and light Belgian character. Not boozy, fairly clean, I guess....
