Hazy straw-tan. The aroma is slightly spicy, and a little bit plasticy. The body is light for a 6% beer, it has a nice spiciness and the strength (unusual for the style) shows through in the finish.

EXPLODED BOTTLE, after ’aging’ for nine months, and travelling from South Africa to Washington, DC. Hazy golden coloured body with a nice sized off-white head. Aroma of yeast, coriander seed, curacao and a bit more yeast. Medium-bodied; Strong yeast flavour with coriander seed freshness, a bit of banana and some lighter curacao and citrus/lemon flavours. Aftertaste is quite refreshing with only the yeast and the coriander seed coming out to play, with a tiny bit of alcohol noticeable. Overall, a good beer that was nice to bring back from ZA, but sadly - this one exploded on me, so don’t plan on cellaring this at all! I sampled this 550 mL stubby/yet large South African-style bottle, purchased from Harley’s Liqour & Wine Specialist in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa for ZAR24,90 on 31-December-2011 sampled at home on the opposite end of the world, after it exploded, but luckily saved some of the unharmed beer (enough for me to sample), in Washington on 06-September-2012.
