Bigger tasting at Ronny’s flat, Copenhagen. Opaque black - brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Light dry dark malt. Some oaty sweetness. Little cocoa. Light semi dry finish. Standard stuff but decent.

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. Pours almost used-motor-oil-black with a fairly dense and lasting beige head. Dark, malty aroma with roasty notes, lots of chocolate, dried fruits, some coffee and hints of wood and vanilla. Sweet, flavourful and complex, but somehow surprisingly well balanced. Nice bitterness in the finish. Delicious sipper!

330mL bottle, pours black with a small brown head. Nose brings out decadent notes of vanilla and cocoa. Flavour brings out complex notes of roasted malt upfront, followed by lots of vanilla and a little dark fruits. Rich and robust, with a higher than normal roast character or a porter. Very good stuff.

330 ml bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm.
Black, oily body, with a quite big, dense, creamy, dark beige to brown head.
Aroma of ash, chocolate, coffee, wood, dark and dried fruits, some pepper.
Quite sweet, rich taste wth about the same aromas, but with more melting chocolate and nuts.
Full, oily mouthfeel, with a smooth carbonation.
Finishes roasty, dry, wooden, ashy.

Very tasty! Strong but smooth at the same time, with a great balance between sweet chocolate, subtle dark fruits and dry, ashy notes. Also pretty easy to drink for this style, the ABV is completely hidden. One of the very best Scandinavian beers I’ve had lately!

Bottle by Cuso, thanks! Aroma deep, dark roasted, ashy, strong coffee. Light chilli. Very dark colour, oily texture. Stable head, relatively. Taste is rich and malty, strong coffee, rather light caramel, rather thick body. Light chilli. Tasty, very good, relatively easily drinkable.
