This should be made with lambiek, but that’s not noticeable. This is a nasty sweet artificial beer.

Clear golden colour, slight white head. Oxidised aroma, glue, banana and sweetener. Sweet flavour, banana, light malts, sugar. Finish banana, oxidation, sweet banana. Though the oxidation in itself isn’t bad, it isn’t really a good beer. Well, it was gathering dust in my cellar, and it is a rare lambic tick, so might as well share it, right?

Bottle sampled @ decadent symmetry tasting. Drink by 2006. Pale gold with horrible black floaties! Nose of oxidized banana syrup and vinegar. Nasty. Sweet, syrupy fruit flavor, vinegar and oxidation, like a banana and pineapple salad dressing. Anything for a rare lambic tick…?

Courtesy of Martinus. 33 cl. bottle sampled @ decadent symmetry tasting. BBF 11/2006, so what 2003 Vintage presumably? Appearance is amber, orange with no head, lots of dark brown UFO”s floating akin to wood chunks. Nose is very sweet, oxidized akin to a good way in a BE beer but only combined with a sickengly sweet banana smell, white sugar concentrate & sherry, very, very weird. Taste is huge white sugar, slight corn, big banana, huge candy, white sugar, syrupy,.. Flat, hint syrupy body. Man this is beyond weird, very hard to drink a lot of, I understand why even these guys took this one of the market.

Bottle. Pours a dark yellow with small white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is skunk and wheat grass. Thin mouthfeel with strong sugary banana like laffy taffy and sweet finish. Good.

Appearance: Clear golden color with a small white head.
Aroma: Sweet banana and some malt.
Palate: Medium body. Sweet and a mild bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Dominating artificial banana in this one!
Overall impression: I do normally like beer with banana taste, but not every one…..
Personal stats: Bottle from workmate Gundersen.

Slightly hazy yellow-gold with a thin white cap. Aroma is banana, malt... Taste is very sweet, age-blackened banana....slight tartness...syrupy. Remarkable strong banana taste, just comically over-the-top sweet.

Bottle, thanks to Leighton, split in the confines of J98 LLY in the ’heading home’ mobile tasting event, 23/03/13. Pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is sweet sugars, artificial nana akin to chewy nana sweets, toffee, sweet sweet sweet. Taste is just stupidly over sweet ! Think banoffee pie with a load of sugars heaped on it topped with a Nesquik banana milk shake piled aboard then some more sugars! Medium bodied but sticky sweet and syrupy, lightly cloying. Meh !

Bottle from Dunnottar Wines, massive thanks to Lorna..... It pours light gold with pretty much no head. The nose is sweet ripe banana, banana sweets and maybe the faintest hint of tanginess (perhaps I’m imagining this). The taste is dominated by sweet banana, banana bread and light tanginess with a sweet finish. Light-medium body, lowish carbonation and cloying, sticky mouth-feel. One-dimensional and tastes more like a nasty soft drink than beer......However if you like sweet banana and are a pervert this may be the beer[sic] for you.
