Sample at the brewpub. Pours a very dark brown (almost black) color with a thin and creamy beige head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Roasty coffee and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of roasted malt, coffee, raisins and dark chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lingering malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
