Deep amber color lager, strong malt aroma, sweeter malt flavor, high bitterness to balance alcohol and sweetness. Made each May for winter solstice. This special yeast gives a unique flavor to this ultra strong lager.

This was a beast! LOADS AND LOADS of sweet bready malts. But i fear they added so much sugar to make such a high octane beer they ruined it. Its WAAAAAAY too sweet. Almost cloying. Its just sweet bready malts and really nothing else. but i would be lying if i say i didnt enjoy it! haha

Flaska från Kuhnhenn, 2018. Murken rostbrun, knappt någon krona.. Russin, torkad frukt, druvig sötma, nästan lite konjakstoner, marsipan, fruktkaka, lätt oxiderade toner, råg, snällt rågsyrlig. Bra med värmande alkoholhetta. Stor, maffig, dekadent. Föredrar denna framför Samichlaus.

Thanks Gregg for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing deep amber with sparse white foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of caramel malts and light baking spices - like a christmas cake; not very well done. The palate is lightly carbonated and full bodied with a mild alcoholic spice. Caramel forward with a christmas cake on the finish. Not very good at all.

Slightly hazy brown red color. Very sweet malty nose with coffee cake, raisin bread, apricot and molasses in the nose. Sweet, raisin bread soaked in molasses and brandy. Alcohol burn hits the back of the throat. Very warming. Sweet. Not overly complex but nice

2007 bottle shared by Brewnbbq, thanks for the opportunity Jeff! Rich caramel maltiness with plenty of fruity notes and a hint of warming alcohol. Held up great, I’m glad I got to try it!

2012 Bottle shared. Pours cloudy brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of banana, molasses, toffee, dark caramel. Flavor is heavy sweet. A bit sickly in the palate. Medium to full bodied with light carbonation. Not great.
