Bottle, undated, but 2022 vintage, drunk 2/24/23. Dark with maroon highlights, possibly clear. Small-to-medium, light-tan head, moderate-to-low retention. Rich, almost port-like nose with candied chocolate and prune. Vanilla, light maple traces and very soft rum. Caramel is nice and intense. Everything evened out and homogenized by the barrel. No booze, no rum sharpness. Lovely. Different in the mouth, not in a bad way necessarily, but more rum than expected based on the nose. Still the light candied port and caramel with vanilla, spicy rum and mineral. Really nice texture. Rich and malty but great attenuation. No syrupy notes, but still a pleasing viscosity. Great balance.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is wood, maple, roast, dark chocolate. Medium body, similar flavors to nose, very sweet, boozy, very good.

This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a black color with a quickly dissipating off white to tan head that left no lacing.
The smell had sweet maple rolling into the subtle sweet milk chocolate and roasty to bitter coffee tones.
The taste was semi-sticky sweet through the combination of the maple and the milk chocolate. Boozy heat is mild, but there. Dry milk chocolate aftertaste with a robust semi-sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sticky sipping quality about it. Carbonation feels good allowing the stickiness from the maple hit my tongue nicely, almost cloying, but tame.
Overall, really awesome Imperial Stout that I would love to have again.

375 ml bottle. Aroma is real nice, coconut, dark chocolate and mild maple syrup. The body is what I look for in the style, thick, rich and full. The base stout I have always liked and the rum treatment although is light is indeed there. Vanilla, mild oak, notes of rum. Pretty rich and sweet flavor but never cloying. Very nice.
