We've used loads of hops from North America - Columbus, Centennial, Amarillo, Citra and Cascade - because we just love the bold aromas they bring to the beer. To balance out all this hoppy goodness we've added lots of Rye, plus some pale ale and cara malt

Boks 330ml fra Systembolaget Kiruna. Mørk gyldenbrun. Middels høyt skum med kremaktig konsistens. Litt lacing. God søt fruktaroma. Smaken tørket frukt som blir litt syrlig etter hvert. Avslutter tørt & bittert.

Bottle (from SIP, Tallinn). Pours copper with beige head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is sweet, fruits, malt, caramel, rye spiciness. Flavor is sweet and bitter, rye, malt, caramel, and slight sourness. Finish is citrus-dry bitter and rye. Body feels somewhat watery. Overall: ok-ish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Jack Brand Crystal Rye IPA on 08 Jan 2023 at 17:00. Original review text: bl

Pours copper, not much head and even the limited white foam that emerges at first is gone in seconds. Aroma is fully bread, rye spiciness and malt sturdiness. Taste feels full, hops are working nicely alongside of malt and rye spiciness. Black bread, no residual sweetness, so actually quite satisfying albeit simple and robust.

330ml bottle from B&M Bargains - Pretty looking clear red body, thick foamy slightly off-white head. Nose is a piney spruce with a bit of resin and citrus giving it some oomph. Taste is initially off-sweet, honey and a lot of pine cone going on. Medium body, long finish. Fun beer.

Bottle. B&M. For the princely sum of 89p! Clear, dark copper colour. Blotchy, sticky, lasting, pale beige head. Nose has earthy, piny hop. Sweet, raisin fruit. Hint of nuttiness. Hint of spice. Taste is bittersweet. Nice balance. Soft, airy palate. Finishes robust, lengthy bitter. Bit of sweet on the close. Enjoyed this.
