The reign of Black Tuesday was destined to grow with the creation of Chocolate Rain. This decidedly decadent version of our bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout was treated with TCHO cacao nibs and juicy, fresh vanilla beans. Rich in chocolate and vanilla, with hints of oak, it truly puts the “imperial” in imperial stout.

750ml bottle at share, 2015 vintage. Near black pour, small beig e head fades away. Aroma is roasty, dark chocolate, boozy with light fruity accents. Taste drops in raisins and prunes on top of the sweet roasty malts, full and creamy. Pretty damn warm too. Everything I have heard about this beer is true. A real classic that has aged well.

20/VII/22 - 75cl bottle @ Dylan & Amina’s wedding, BB: n/a, 020912LOT30 (2022-896) Thanks to Dylan & Amina for the great party and the beers!
Clear dark brown to almost black beer, no head. Aroma: oxidized, gentle roast, some chocolate notes, some cardboard. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: gentle bitterness, soft roast, bit oxidized, some chocolate notes. Ok, not great.
