2015 bottle thanks to FlandersNed. Pours a pitch black hue with a small brown head. A big chocolate and mint nose. Sweet, not getting much coffee, but big mint, light hot barrel, dark fruit. Mellow, but very minty.

12 oz bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Chocolatey aroma with mint, bourbon coming through after a moment. Like one of those Andes mints. Except for the bourbon, I suppose. Anyhow, flavor is creamy cocoa, coffee, with the mint, and again bringing in some bourbon. I like it a lot.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with medium beige head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong mint, wood, milk chocolate, bourbon, vanilla. Medium body, roasted malt, mint chocolate chip, vanilla, boozy finish, very good.

Poured from an October 2016, 12 oz bottle. Aroma is very minty with some medium light coffee notes and some light chocolate and roast. Light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Pours black with a medium large, thick, creamy, dark mocha head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is rather sweet with quite a bit of mint. Moderate chocolate notes with light roast and medium light coffee notes. Light bourbon and alcohol spice with faint oak. Medium bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied and a bit oily with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, this beer matches its adjuncts rather well. It tastes a bit like eating an Andes mint while drinking coffee.

Bottle share. Normal pour for a RIS. Mint dominates the aroma, notes of chocolate. Taste also features the mint, sweet, no evidence of the alcohol. A good dessert beer.
