3/IV/16 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle @ home - BB: n/a, bottled: XII/I/15 (2016-309) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the bottle!
Clear dark brown to black beer, small irregular creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots and lots of chocolate, some vanilla, mocha, sweet, bit of caramel. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol, mocha, sweet, caramel, chocolate, sugary. Aftertaste: slightly minty, maybe just because you know it should be there, sweet, caramel, mocha, some coffee, very nice one! Was not expecting this...

12 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 12/1/2015. Pours pitch black color with a 1 finger dense dark brown head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, mint, fudge, caramel, molasses, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, herbal, and roast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, coffee, mint, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, mint, fudge, caramel, molasses, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, herbal, and roast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/roasted bitterness, bourbon/oak spiciness, and cooling mint character on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, mint, fudge, caramel, molasses, bourbon, toasted oak, vanilla, herbal, and roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee, mint, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a great roasted bitter/sweet balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible barrel aged mint imperial stout! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, coffee, mint, and bourbon barrel flavors; and dangerously smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. I though the balace between the coffee, mint, barrel, and malt flavors was pretty much perfect across the board. A highly enjoyable offering.

Bottle thanks to Jeff! Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet dark grains with a touch of mint, some coffee and a light bourbon bite. Flavor has more dark grains and coffee with a slight mint note and a bit of sweet bourbon underlying.
