Gold color. Moderate carbonation, some hops, but less flavorful than the pale ale. A low key ipa, it was cheap at Trader Joes and it is drinkable enough, but it needs considerably more hops.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s, Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear orange copper with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is strong resin and citrus hops with some nutty and toffee notes. Taste is very similar... Bitter citrus hops up front with toffee and nuts with the bitterness returning in the finish. Medium bodied. Quite a nice beer.

Deep amber coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Great potent hoppy grassy aroma with malt, caramel and some yeast tucked in. Medium-bodied; Very strong hoppy flavour with grass and pine evident, along with a good malt backbone and some caramel and light sweetness at the end. Overall, a rather nice and actually refreshing IPA, especially for the price! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Falls Church (Bailey’s Crossroads), Virginia sampled the same day, 23-May-2009.

Bottle. Copper beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit and light mango aroma. Grapefruit flavor with light summer fruit and light malt. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Grapefruit and light caramel lingers.

Bottle from Trader Joes. Copper color with a frothy white head. Aromas of citrus and pine. Medium body with smooth carbonation. Flavor is caramel malt with a decent load of floral and pine hop. At least pine. Finish is clean and not extremely bitter. Very decent beer.
