The Citra Saison is Brew By Numbers' modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse classic. The hops balance the yeast character while a light spicing adds complexity.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is peppery yeast, pale malt, wheat, citrus, hoppy notes. Moderate sweet flavour with a light bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nicely peppery and citrussy, a very fine hoppy Saison from favourites BBN°.

330ml bottle @ 6% called 01 Saison Citra. Seems to be an Honestbrew collaboration with a slight change of ABV but in my head close enough to this listing. Admins feel free to move if needed. Look - slightly hazy gold, lots of carbonation and moderate sized white head, excellent head retention. Aroma - wheat grain, grass, yeast, apple blossom. Taste - very wheat like and yeasty before a floral and fruity lightness comes in, semi-sweet with a slight tangy bitter finish. Palate - medium bodied, soft carbonation, slightly dry in the finish. Quite nice, easy drinking and fresh tasting.

Actually top notch. Light. And the hops are mild, but the body is awesome. Himmeriget Copenhagen

Keg at Craft Clerkenwell. Pale blond, small white head. Aroma creamy, herbal, bit of funk. Taste bit fruity, touch of lemon, herbs again, some cream. Nice enough, but not so exciting. Second time, bottle. More fruit this time, lemon and lime. Quite delicate. Surprised!

Straw blond with thin head. Aroma has some sweet apple and peachy notes. Flavour is also a bit sweet but also a bit soapy. Coriander?

330ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden with a big frothy head. Very citrusy aroma, lemon and orange, light funk and spice. Taste of lemon, orange, spicy yeast, slightly floral, malts. Medium body, soft carbonation. Enjoyable saison, Citra hops work really nicely in this.

From 33cl bottle at La Cantinetta, Rimini, Italy. Pours rather pale yellow with medium-high white foam, evanescent and fine. Aroma is lemon peel, spiced. Body is average with good carbonation. Taste is very moderate sweet, nice bitterness, some tanginess. Finish is short enough.
